Origin of JourneyMen

I created JourneyMen to make space for men to drop the shame, get real, and find true freedom through discipleship.

For over a decade, I’ve had the privilege of working with men around the world—men from different backgrounds, cultures, and walks of life. No matter where I went, I saw the same struggles. Men wrestling with addiction, weighed down by shame, trapped in cycles of pornography, anger, and hidden sin. I watched as so many of them longed for freedom but didn’t know how to get there.

One of the biggest problems I saw was that most men didn’t feel like they had a safe place to be honest. In church, we’re often told to pray more, read the Bible more, or “try harder.” While spiritual disciplines are important, I realized that many men were missing a space to be genuinely open—where they could be heard, seen, and walk through healing with real accountability and discipleship. The struggles men face, like sexual addiction and depression, are often ignored or pushed aside when, in reality, these are the very issues the church should be leading the conversation on.

That’s why I created JourneyMen. I wanted to build a space where guys could let down their walls and discuss what they’ve been afraid to bring into the light, where real transformation happens—not just through quick fixes or surface-level encouragement, but through deep discipleship, mentoring and biblical strategies for freedom. JourneyMen exists to walk with men as they break free from strongholds, heal from past wounds, and step into the life God intended for them.

My heart is to see men become whole, confident, and spiritually strong—not just for themselves but also for their families, their churches, and the world around them. You were never meant to fight your battles alone. If you’re ready to go deeper, to be challenged, and finally step into the freedom God has for you, I invite you to take that first step with JourneyMen. Let’s walk this narrow way together.

I am yet to meet a man wanting change, having support and the right tools that failed to be transformed.

I'd love to help you on your journey.
